Youth Empowerment for Economic Growth Program (YEEG)

The Youth Empowerment programme, developed by the Africa Chambers of Commerce, is designed to enhance leadership skills in a supportive and trusted environment. Working in small, cross-industry, cross-sector, and cross-functional groups, participants have the opportunity to explore best practices, share insights, compare experiences, gain new perspectives, and test ideas alongside an exceptional group of peers. This program revitalizes participants, equipping them to inspire and lead with lasting impact across the continent.

Who is the Programme aimed at?

  • Emerging young leaders within Africa Chambers member organizations, with 2-5 years of professional experience
  • Youth who are ready to guide their communities and organizations through challenges and opportunities in a rapidly evolving environment.

Application

The application process is now open and will remain open until Friday, 23rd February 2024. All successful applicants will be informed shortly thereafter.

Criteria
  • Participants are nominated by their company, who are members of the Africa Chambers of Commerce.
  • Nominees have a minimum of 10 years’ professional experience; will likely have completed internal leadership training.
  • Candidates are selected to maximise diversity of participants (role/sector/ organisation), which may mean only one person per company.
  • 100% attendance is expected throughout the programme
